C++ is an object-oriented computer language developed as part of the growth of the C family of languages by renowned computer scientist Bjorne Stroustrop. It was created as a cross-platform enhancement to C to provide developers more control over memory and system resources.
C++ has been a highly valuable language throughout time, not just in computer programming, but also in educating new programmers how object-oriented programming works. However, it does not just allow object-oriented programming, but also procedural and functional programming. C++ may be used to create a wide variety of software, applications, browsers, Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs), operating systems, and games due to its great flexibility and scalability.
Today, C++ is still highly regarded for its considerable portability, which enables developers to quickly design applications that can operate on a variety of operating systems or platforms. Despite being a high-level language, C++ may be used for low-level manipulation owing to its strong relationship with machine language.
